Delicious, Pretty Gem: the range of food on offer during the day is delicious. The cakes are luscious and home-made. The lovely teapots, with mismatched china cups & saucers, adds to that feeling you have returned to your grandmothers home. A particular favourite is the breakfast with sourdough toast and very generous portions of eggs & smashed avocado.
Cosy atmosphere. Visited for afternoon tea prior to a theatre visit. Kitchen was closed at time of visit so choice was limited to hot drinks and cakes. Staff were friendly and helpful. The price was quite reasonable for London.
So many YES's! Was just in London for a week and stumbled on this. We wanted to have a proper English breakfast but we were running on classic vacation time and missed it. Instead we sat for high tea with bubbles. Everything about this place was a great experience. So cozy, nothing matched (I love that) giving it so much charm, snacks and tea were delicious, waitstaff was friendly. Was just a perfect find on my last day of vacation.
My friend and I travelled from Australia to London and we met at this cafe for a reunion meeting with an old friend who lives in Great Britain. What a beautiful spot , right near Buckingham Palace, and such a cute name for the cafe! The staff were very attentive, polite and accommodating. Bathrooms were very clean and homely for a cafe right in the city. The club sandwich was good - fresh chicken breast and crispy bacon, however, a little too much mayonnaise for my liking. We noticed on the menu that they serve high teas, and saw neighbouring tables enjoying hot teas. Next time we will be ordering that! :D
What a hidden gem! Great food and drink served on gorgeous traditional tableware, at a very good price. The staff were wonderful: so friendly and helpful, but not over-bearing. I wish that I had some cash with me so I couldve given them a very well-deserved tip. A great spot to do some work while waiting for my train, and I definitely shall be returning, especially when I have visitors from overseas, as its so British!
