My couple visits were not disappointing due to them but it is a major pity that for all the people applying, they had just 2 tellers available, despite saying they're shortstaffed.Very helpful and efficient doorman though!

What a MESS of a system!Waiting outside of the building for almost 2hours to only get forms (which you can't get anywhere else) from a MASSIVELY RUDE MAN behind the glass. He speaks to you with no respect or interest. Then when you have to give copies (unclear on the website) and you ask him where he "doesn't know", 30minutes later he explains to someone where they can get copies down the road!I feel disrespected and like a victim of unfair treatment! If i had a choice i would NOT return here!Horrible South African time management and attitudes in the middle of London, it's despicable! No service delivery!Queus, queus, queus in a cold waiting area...

Top tip: always aim to get there at 8am sharp (despite it opening at 8:45). Even at 8:05 there is a queue building up of at least 10-15 people. Passport collection and renewal was actually seamless, although it did take 6 months from start to finish.

The service there is very poor, Ive been trying to get in contact with them via email and telephone but no answer. I am deeply disappointed with my countrys ways of dealing with peoples documentation. Even when I visited there to deal with it, they have me a number that is also the same as their website, constantly put on voicemail. I am very angry and very unhappy. Even with the opening times is ridiculous, I dont understand on people coming from far to get things sorted.

Surprisingly excellent service. I had to apply for retention of citizenship.I arrived at about 7h45 to a queue of about 10 others. Once opened an affable person asked what we were applying for and provided info and any docs required.Inside once my number was called, I was assisted by another affable person who processed my application efficiently. She also provided additional information about other applications I had to make. The only negative aspect was that I had to pay in cash. After exactly an hour my certificate was issued.Perhaps I was just fortunate to encounter the efficient staff and the right day.. Or perhaps they are finally getting organised. After that I had to go to the Italian Consulate and the experience was dreadful...
