Nice staff and nice welcome only problem was that they had run out of a lot of the food we asked for apart from that a good meal

Burial ground for the illegitimate children of a variety of Kings and other royal family members of England. Many of the memorials to them in the 1990's have sadly been removed. A pleasant garden between Page Street and Horseferry Road and near to St John's Smith Square, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Lambeth Palace, The Garden Museum and the Tate Britain Gallery. Popular with the locals and office workers and a stone's throw away from the Thames. Known by the locals as "the old man's gardens".
Beautiful garden- dark history. It was a burial ground and while there are skeletons beneath, it's not a well known aspect of this peaceful refuge from London hustle and bustle, though it would be a reason I would respect the rules about not eating in the park (although everyone does eat there)
Inner city park to enjoy lunch or have a break from your office desk. Heavily shaded by the surrounding buildings. Sprinklers come on regularly in dry weather so the grass can be wet if you just want to sit on the grass and enjoy the sun
