Good for a very quick meal. Food is good, but was unceremoniously told after 45 minutes that I had to give up my table for other customers, when our desert had just arrived. Had to promptly drink our very full glasses of drinks whilst a bill and card reader was thrusted in front of us and take our deserts with us!
This is a *fantastic* restaurant. I visited as a solo diner during a short vacation to London, and it was so phenomenal I came back a second time two days later (i.e, for two of my six dinners). The flavors are incredible and it's also cosy and relaxed. Service is very attentive and helpful with suggestions. Finally, unlike most other places in the area, nothing is over-priced. Good portions and...I can't reiterate this enough--SO DELICIOUS. Thanks for being so welcoming, Ma La! Try: Dan Dan, boiled beef (extra spicy), Ma La Prawns, and fried soft shell crab.
Undoubtedly the best Chinese restaurant ive been to in London. The food was incredible and the staff were exceptional. The hospitality was great from the moment we entered to the moment we left. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, especially the deep fried prawns. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

After a long flight, jet lagged, my companion and I stopped by Ma La Sichuan for dinner. We've had a lot of great Asian food so we did not expect much of this place. Nevertheless, it's close to our hotel and we were too tired to wander too far. We had a Dumpling Platter (a sample of 4 diff dumplings), Song So Fish Soup, Fried Squid w Spicy Salt (aka calamari), Lamb Cumin, and Egg Fried Rice. Everything was freshly made and hot. You can taste the quality and freshness in the ingredients used. Service was top notch. Restaurant was very clean. Not everything was crazy good here (the fish soup and egg fried rice were good but has room for improvement). Overall, we were impressed and pleasantly surprised. Give it a try!
