Lovely Pub. And Jay (member of staff, maybe Manager?) was excellent, made us feel right at home and consistently made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks Jay. Dog Friendly!
The beer and atmosphere were great. Service was attentive and quick. I ordered the beef shepard's pie. It wasnt very good. Meat was chewy and rubbery. Really couldn't eat it. Come for the beer, but not the food.
Oh it was actually very good! Got a nice chance to taste decent fish and chips, along with excellent beer and cider. The location is nice and this place works on Sundays which was just what we needed, coupled with good prices. Enjoyed the atmosphere and very friendly staff as well.
Traditional English pub with good food and beer selection. Great English breakfast! Large screens for sport events. They have places upstairs too.
I've come to The Albert for years now due to the good old days of some good British fish & chips. I've taken family here when I visit London. I like the history of it, but if something doesn't change soon, it will be history. The poor wait staff is always understaffed & seemily apologizing for long waits on food. People's meals all around were lukewarm. Too many people behind the bar. They need to prioritize things. Maybe instead of such a large menu, just be an appetizer & drinks place. Felt terrible for the kind wait staff. Honestly, I'd only go there now for a drink & I'd order it myself from the bar, then sit. Sad. The owner needs to hire someone to save his restaurant & get things in order.
