Definitely a must if you're visiting Big Ben & Westminster Abbey.St. Stephens Tavern is located just steps away from The Houses of Parliament, thus making it a very popular option for tourists and locals alike for dining. In fact, every time I come to London I always find the time to make it out here for some good fish and chips and a drink!Though there are many places to get fish and chips in London, I always prefer to go to a restaurant so you can enjoy the larger chunks of cod fish that they have to provide. Plus, there are quite a few different sauces to choose from other than your standard tartar sauce, so its nice to have it. Here at St. Stephens Tavern, youll also get a nice, healthy serving of peas with your fish and chips!Now dont listen to your American friends who tell you that they only serve warm beer in Europe. The tavern has several COLD options on tap for your drinking pleasure. I cant truthfully remember what I had to drink but I know it was a cider of some sort. Overall, I would definitely recommend coming out here for a bite to eat since its rightly priced and is close to several different tourist sites youll want to visit anyway.
Went in for a coffee late morning. Decent old school pub that made good coffee. Badger brewery linked and seemed to have a good selection of Ale and regular pub food.
Eating here was really nice. I had the vegetarian breakfast option and it was really good. The portions were just enough so you dont feel bloated after. The food tasted really good and I would go here again. I cant recall if there were more vegetarian options.

Very average pub in Westminster. Proximity to Parliament means it is generally always full of tourists. Usually there isn't room to sit. The usual beers and other drinks are available. Food is average as I recall. A few minutes walk along Whitehall will bring you to some far superior establishments.
