Great ambience, good selection of ales, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Pricey but worth it.
Absolutely perfect cocktail bar. The decor and atmosphere is fabulous. Bar staff are so knowledgeable and right on the ball with everything.We ha do a few Japanese whiskeys, some scotch and a few cocktails all perfectly presented by the affable barman.I would highly recommend you go for a drink here and relax is the super surroundings.
We stayed at the Corinthian when it first opened. Went back just for drinks and was pleasantly surprised by the new upgrade in the bar and hotel. The Bassoon Bar, is elegant, comfy and their cocktails are exceptional. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Very relaxing atmosphere, a must visit!!
Any place that serves you delicious almonds and olives along with your drinks is alright by me...until you then realise that they snuck in a 6 charge for the privilege of food that you didn't ask for. I don't get why any business does this. It means your final memory of the place is one where you feel vaguely like you've been cheated. Just ask if we want the food first (the answer would likely have been yes).Some of the cocktails were lovely (especially the gin & tonics) and the rest were fine - nothing to complain about but maybe not worth the 15+ price tag.Overall, the venue was top notch, the service non-existent (no one even came to check that we liked our drinks or asked if we wanted to order another round - maybe we didn't look like their regular kind of customers) and the G&Ts were memorable.
Upscale bar with large choice of cocktails no the menu. Quite pricey but that is to be expected for this type of venue. They had love music (siging) which was also quiet enjoyable. There are several other bars in the hotel too
