People working here look ground down and fed up. Busy lively atmosphere despite that. But it was too busy and no space to feel comfortable
Tiny little hideaway just behind the houses of parliament.Great for a quick drink and chat away from everyone but as it's quite small you wouldn't want to be there that long.Limited amount of non alcoholic drinks and no disabled toilets.
This pub feels like a bit of a tourist trap at the weekend. The beer is fine but the food downstairs was poor. My pie was microwaved and soggy and the fish was obviously frozen. Both came with measly portions of mash and chips. I also didn't appreciate being pressured to give a tip when they don't even do table service. I suspect they heard my friend's American accent and figured they could try and get a few extra quid out of us.
This is a small pub where you can go for a drink. I disliked the place because there is hardly any room to sit down. In the basement (the wine bar) there is a little bit of room, but that is of course taken very fast. If you go the first floor, there is some room to sit down, but that seems to be a different venue than the rest. When we were there, we couldn't go up to the first floor because they told us it was going to close... Rather annoying if you want to sit down for a while with a drink.
A small, very busy Shepherd Neame pub in Westminster. Great beers available, but be prepared to enjoy your drink standing up as there are so few tables and chairs. There is, however, a basement bar. The venue is very popular with journalists and political hacks. Well worth a visit, but often rather crowded and difficult place to relax in.
